1953 – Walter Somers Material Handling established a manufacturing assembly centre in Halesowen, West Midlands.

1987 – Renamed as Somers Handling after being sold to Robert Perkins.

1997 – Somers Handling was made up of 2 subsidiaries  Somers Handling/Rail and  Somers Vehicle Lifts.

1999 – Somers Vehicle Lifts was acquired by the Triapt Holdings Group.

2001 –  Somers Vehicle Lifts re-branded its aftersales department as Totalkare to further improve the quality of its maintenance and repair service

2002 – Manufacture of lifts at Halesowen ceased with manufacture moving to France

2004 – There was a management buyout of Somers Vehicles Lifts and Totalkare which unified the UK sectors of the Triapt group to become SomersTotalkare.

2010 – SomersTotalkare moves premises to Coombs Wharf.

2014 – SomersTotalkare remained the leading supplier of mobile column lifts and after-sales for commercial vehicles in the UK.

2015 –  SomersTotalkare underwent a name changed to Totalkare Heavy Duty Workshop Solutions Ltd to reflect the extensive growth over the previous 5 years and how Totalkare now offer a much wider range of products and services alongside our market leading Mobile Vehicle Lifts.

 

Today we are the UK’s number one supplier for heavy duty vehicle lifting solutions and aftersales care , selling more than 6,000 sets of mobile lifts to customers ranging from multi-national operators to independent workshops.
